THE CHURCH OF ST THOMAS THE APOSTLE, TOOWONG, Q. The Church of St Thomas' the Apostle is situated on the corner of High & Jephson Streets Toowong. Parking is available for the Sunday services in the Parish Centre car park. Contact the Office (phone 3870 1655) for details of access and for parking inquiries at other times.
IMPORTANT CHANGES TO SERVICES AT ST THOMAS Sunday 29 August will be the last Sung Evensong on a fifth Sunday, and the last regular Sunday evening Eucharist will be on Sunday 5th September. From 3rd October we will have a Sung Evensong at 5.30pm on the first Sunday each month. There will not be a regular service on the other Sunday evenings. We will still have special evening services - Advent, Christmas, Easter, etc. The choir will be singing at the evensong on the first Sunday each month and at the 7.30am service on the third Sunday each month.
Our present weekly services are - Wednesday 5.30pm Eucharist
Sunday 7.30am Sung Eucharist 9.30am Sung Family Eucharist
5.30pm Eucharist Please note that the last Sunday evening Eucharist will be on 5 September.
SUNDAY SCHOOL On each Sunday of the month Sunday School is held in the Parish Centre at 9.30am. For further information contact the Rector (07) 3870 1655 or Amanda Schroder (07) 3878 2313. When there is a 5th Sunday there is a Children’s talk instead of the sermon at the 9.30am service.
PRAYER SERVICE AND FELLOWSHIP GROUP On the 1st Thursday of the month the Prayer Service & Fellowship group meets commencing with prayer in the church at 9.30am followed by morning tea and fellowship in the Parish Centre. St THOMAS ANGLICAN PARISH TOOWONG You can still join us for the Winter Series of SeminarsThe Winter Series of Seminars this year at St Thomas’ Toowong, is Living the Questions, an Introduction to Progressive Christianity, where participants not only interact with one another in exploring the best of today’s theological thought, but also together strive to explore what’s next for Christianity. The series is held on Wednesday at 6.15pm in the Parish Centre. You can still join is! The series continues on a weekly basis for until 8 September . Each session lasts for approximately one and a half hours, and includes DVD resource material, printed guides with corresponding readings and discussion questions. Parking is available in the Parish Centre car park. Details on how to access the car park are available from the office.
