Who are we?
“God is Love, and those who live in love live in God and God lives in them.”
(1 John 4:16)
As followers of Christ we are called to be inclusive, to be open and to welcome all people into the community of those who embrace the love of God. We strive to transform our own lives and to build a better world.
The aim is to build a community that seeks truth, works for peace and justice, is generous, inclusive and non-judgmental.
As members of St Thomas' Toowong:

-
We follow the path and teachings of Jesus who leads into an awareness and experience of God and the Oneness and Unity of all life;
-
We seek community that is inclusive of all people, including but not limited to: conventional Christians and questioning skeptics; believers and agnostics; women and men; those of all sexual orientations and gender identities and those of all classes, races and abilities;
-
We know that the way we behave towards one another is the fullest expression of what we believe;
-
We strive for peace and justice among all people;
-
We strive to protect and restore the integrity of our Earth and
-
We are committed to a path of life-long learning, compassion and selfless love.
