The simplest and most universal way of launching Blood on GNU/Linux is to load a terminal and then launch DOSBox with the supplied path to your Blood executable. For example, one could type dosbox /path/to/Blood.exe to launch Blood, with the final path listed being changed to the location of the Blood executable on your system as appropriate. One can also make a launcher or shell script to help automate this process.
Some faster machines have this issue. The best solution is to use NOLFBLIM (an updated version of the old NOLFB DOS hack). Copy the file "nolfblim.ren2com" to your Blood folder then rename it to NOLFBLIM.COM. You must launch this program every time just before you play Blood so you may want to add it to your dosbox.conf's autoexec section to automatically run. And if you get shuttering with this, don't use the above fix; open your dosbox.conf file and change machine=svga_s3 to machine=vesa_nolfb.
For those using the GOG.com version of One Unit: Whole Blood on GNU/Linux, the following links provide both a custom command-line game launcher using BASH and a graphical launcher using Zenity. The executable shell scripts must be placed inside the GOG.com Blood directory.
For Windows systems there also exists a launcher program created by McTecman that also includes a considerable amount of extra fan made content. There is also another custom launcher for Windows included as part of a set of several BUILD Game DOSBox Launchers created by Skulldog. Another by sharp299 can be found here.
An additional launcher for the Steam and GOG.com releases of One Unit: Whole Blood can be found here. It is unique to the others above in that it consists of a batch script that must be run from within DOSBox and includes a variety of unofficial fixes including DOS32A and bMouse.
The simplest and most universal way of launching Blood II with WINE is to load a terminal and then launch WINE with the supplied path to your Blood II executable. For example, one could type wine /.wine/drive_c/Games/Blood2/Blood2.exe on GNU/Linux to launch Blood II, with the final path listed being changed to the location of the Blood II executable on your system as appropriate. One can also make a launcher or shell script to help automate this process.
i used the no_gtav launcher and when i do it boots up the loading screen but then i get an "in-game pop-up" stating i was signed out of the social club and im only given the option to quit game, if i dont quit im stuck on an infinite load screen, any advice?
I know Windows 11 is still beta-quality software and we're months away from a retail release, but upon upgrading to the Insider build I am no longer able to boot up GTA V using this launcher. Can anyone look into this? @LS-Multiplayer Team
Not sure if anyone here is aware but your game will crash without an error after taking cover then entering any vehicle This is because the NoGTAVLauncher bypasses and hack patches GTA5.exe to bypass rockstar social club. What happens is that the game thinks the game is being ran on a pirated key and therefore an anti-piracy feature is enabled developed by Rockstar Games to punish pirates, the game will shutdown immediately without an error following taking cover and then pressing F to enter a vehicle.
Savegames just before you pick up the mantella for each of the possible endings. Character has 16 HP per level and is a custom sorcerer-type; no spell point regen/absorbs spells, INT points in spell points, can't use orcish or iron, no leather armor or buckler. Character is unhacked except for the lockpick skill because I was getting aggrivated having to bash down every other door :-)Bill Faulk
Once you get the Grenade Launcher and the Proximity Mines, this technique can be employed. Find a red fuel tank (all over the place), and cover it with about 6 Proximity Mines or so. Next, use Telekinesis to lift the massive explosive device and hurl it at a Big Daddy. This deals massive damage, leaving you with minimal effort to finish the job. Just be careful not to have the bomb blow up before you get there. (The launcher upgrade that deals no damage to you is a great thing to have just in case.)
Use a blast of the Electric Shock Plasmid to temporarily disable security drones before you do anything else in a room. Then, run up to them within five seconds and hack them! You can hack while the game is on virtual "pause." You'll have security drones on your side for the rest of the time you are in a fight after doing this.
It's been ten years since the first commit to GitLab, so we are sharing our ten favorite GitLab hacks to help you get the most out of our DevOps Platform. These are tips for all stages of the development lifecycle, so roll up your sleeves and let's get started.
Pharo 9 is expecting to use LibGit2 1.0.1 or 0.25, but Brew includes the version 1.1.0. To fix this problem we can link the version 1.1.0 as 1.01. This is a temporal hack as the correct version will be shipped in a release of the VM.
The transfer tool is a new feature in BleemSync v1.1. It can be used to automatically add games to BleemSync via the USB drive rather than connecting the console to your PC. The transfer tool will run automatically during the BleemSync boot process and will generate games with information from the included database. Currently the transfer tool only supports PSX games.
After running the BleemSync v1.1 payload for the first time you should see a transfer folder on your USB (USB:\transfer). If you have not yet run the payload you can create the transfer folder manually. To transfer games all you need to do is copy a game in a supported format (see below) to the transfer folder. The tool will process the game files and any related files. Cue files (for games that require them) will be validated/corrected if supplied. If a cue file is required and is not supplied a generic cue file will be generated. Note: cue files added to the transfer folder will not be automatically deleted, please verify generated cue file is correct before deleting.
Folder support has been added to BleemSync in version 1.2. Folders are currently created and managed using the on-console Folder Manager app. This app is added as a launcher and requires the ui_app_launchers variable to be set to TRUE in the Settings Menu to be accessible. The Folder Manager is accessible through the carousel. Folders can only be created and swapped using the Folder Manager app. Future versions will allow folders to be added to the carousel as well as support adding launchers to particular folders. The procedure below explains how to create and use a folder.
At long last you can ban those troublesome players. Just get theirip with the status command and enter it in. However, don't get your hopes up that much atthis point. It is a quick hack and can only current handle one banned ip address. If youenter a higher order domain such as xxx.xxx.xxx any player from that domain will be unableto play. Makes it easy to ban players from a particular ISP or site.Once you have declared at least one banned site typing ban without an ip address will listthe current sites that are being banned. To use the higher order domain banning the format is: ban xxx.xxx.0.0 xxx.xxx.0.0Once banning has been turned on you can turn it off by using the command: ban offThanks to Daniel A. Sill for getting the low-down on thiscommand.
The key bindings section of User.ini is under the heading "[Default]". It lists every key on the keyboard and the command bound to it. Keys without any bound command are left blank. This section actually has many subsections, each giving the bound keys for a certain context in the game. For instance, there is a set of key bindings for the context when Jack has been told by Atlas "Would You Kindly lower that weapon," and it has blank bindings for using the weapon and Plasmid keys specifically so that the player cannot use them during that scripted event. There are also sets of bindings for contexts of using vending machines, hacking, etc.
gh-101467: The py.exe launcher now correctly filters when only asingle runtime is installed. It also correctly handles prefix matches ontags so that -3.1 does not match 3.11, but would still match3.1-32.
PLEASE disable "Origin In Game" and the "Cloud Saves" feature for each game prior to using the installer. Doing so will save you a lot of headaches and incompatibilities. The "Origin In Game" feature most notably will overwrite the fixed launchers for your games when you try to launch them--it's like a pre-launch check of the game files. You can disable them by right clicking your game in your Game Library
